HOPE

To look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence.

To believe, desire and trust.

These are the definitions of the word HOPE. Unfortunately, in today’s society we have too many people who have lost HOPE. Poverty and homelessness are two factors as to why hopelessness is prevalent in so many lives. Approximately 15% or 50 million people are living in poverty in the United States today. Sadly, this number continues to rise. Homelessness and poverty are inextricably linked. People living in poverty are frequently unable to pay for housing, food, clothing, childcare, healthcare and education. Difficult choices must be made when limited resources cover only some of these necessities. Reasons why poverty and homelessness continue to rise include, eroding employment opportunities, stagnant or falling incomes, less secure jobs, fewer benefits, shortage of affordable housing, and the declining value and availability of public assistance. With the unemployment rates remaining high, jobs are hard to find in the current economy. Even if people can find work, this does not automatically provide an escape from poverty. Poverty and homelessness result from a complex set of circumstances that require people to choose between food, clothing, shelter, and other basic needs. Only a concerted effort and adequate support for those in need will bring about a decline in poverty. We ask you to join us in the fight against poverty. For every t-shirt purchased at www.fluidwear.com  we are committed to donating a t-shirt to a person in need.

 Help us give others HOPE!
